2017 Scholarship Winner, Dustin Lewis Congratulations to Dustin Lewis for being awarded this year's Student Scholarship! Dustin was chosen for his academic achievements, future goals and his efforts to give back to his community and to help others. Dustin plans to attend Cascadia College in the Fall and pursue a career in teen counseling. He is joined by Chamber Ambassador and Student Scholarship Committee Leader JD Davis of SUNDANCE Energy Services, Maurita Colburn Chamber Member and Community Relations Manager, and leaders/staff at the Secondary Academy For Success. Scholarship Mission With the cost of education rising at an uprecedented rate, many students have become dissuaded from pursuing a higher education. As business representatives, we must remain committed to the growth and future of our community. Students are an essential part of our Greater Bothell community and with proper encouragement, guidance, and education, they will become active contributors to the future. Scholarship Founder Gloria M. Davis began this Scholarship Fund in 2008. Her heartlelt vision was to provide scholarship funds to those students who have worked hard and would like to further their education. Mrs. Davis passed away in 2009. this scholarship, now presented by the Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce, continues in her memory. Criteria for Application Applicants shall: - Be a graduating Senior currently enrollled at the Secondary Academy for Success (SAS) in the Northshore School District - Submit a completed scholarship application form, available at SAS front office -Provide a transcript of school records-outline their relevant personal experiences and career goals Donations are Accepted This Scholarship is provided annually through generous, donated, monetary contributions.
